Greetings from the Secretariat of Philippine National AIDS Council!
This year marks the 26th anniversary of the world’s largest annual community-based AIDS event, the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial (ACM) on 3rd Sunday of May 2009 with the theme of “Together, We are the Solution”. As you know, the event recalls the memories of those who have died of AIDS and solicit support for those who are living with HIV and AIDS.
On the 15th of May 2009, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, PNAC and partners will be holding the ACM’s lighting of candles and lotus ceremonies in Liwasang Aurora, Quezon Memorial Circle. We are encouraging your offices to send delegates, 20 – 50 persons, to represent your organizations.
Related activities are strongly encouraged to heighten awareness and education campaign on STI, HIV and AIDS especially with the period. We would be appreciative if your offices could share this information with the PNAC Secretariat for documentation.
