Lend a Helping Hand and Help Make the 2009 Manila Pride March the Biggest and Most Successful One Yet

Task Force Pride (TFP) Philippines is a not-for-profit union of students, professionals and organizations, encompassing the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) community and its friends. Founded in 1999, TFP seeks to promote positive visibility for the LGBT community. TFP is also the official organizing network of the annual Pride March.

This year’s Pride March theme, “We Dare, We Care” is an awareness campaign that embraces unity and diversity and champions human rights. We are anticipating the participation of 3,000 individuals for this event. The event is composed of a Parade, Program, Pageant and culminates with a Party. To make this special event the biggest success possible, we will need the your participation and your sponsorship.

We strongly encourage you to donate for the 2009 Manila Pride March. We aim to raise Php 100,000 to defray the expenses of the entire event-these include obtaining street permits, security, logistic requirements like sound, lighting and staging, to printing posters, tarpaulins, banners and fun, pink tagbracelets. Monetary donations are greatly appreciated. However, if you can provide items to give away, provide food/beverages, print posters for the event, that would really make the 2009 Manila Pride March a huge success.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and about TFP and the 2009 Manila Pride March. We hope you consider making a donation.
